BILL CLINTON STOPS IN NORTH KOREA FOR SOME KIM CHI AND A COUPLE JOURNALISTS

North Korea. It's supposed to be a great and impenetrable mystery, an isolated state, almost inaccessible to the West.

So when Bill Clinton stopped by to visit Kim Sung Il and pick up a couple of imprisoned journalists like you might get a six pack at the local convenience store it just didn't fit the propaganda picture. It was so damn easy!

"Gee whiz, that was close!" the whimpering "journalists"
wept at their United States photo op. Yeah, but rich, powerful tools of empire (or maybe they were journalists) can get out of prison. 1.5 million Palestinians are starving, denied all the necessities of modern life including health care all are prisoners and Clinton and Gore worry about two "journalists"! Yeah, they are liberals, not progressives and they never will be.

We can almost imagine Kim Il Sung asking, "Would you
like some other prisoners with that batch?"

Yeah, Bill probably passed around a joint with Kim Il Sung and said, "No. We got more prisoners in the United States than live in your capital. Don't need no more innocent victims of tyranny from your country."

Kim laughs and says, "Don't inhale, Bill! Don't inhale!"

What about the millions of Americans doing hard time for recreational drugs that these posturing political clowns on television probably use daily? When do they get out of prison you smiling pseudo-liberal liars? Would that be before or after you finish your really good bud?

It was something of a family affair with the Clintons and Gore all playing their parts. Parts that are largely beside the point here. On a personal level it was touching and who can bicker about journalists being freed or returning to their families? Heck I cry all the time. This part was great!

So why was it sooo easy? Where were the terrible fangs of the oh so horrible North Koreans? Why wasn't there even any sales tax? Why didn't they arrest Bill for smoking that joint? Kim and his buds get away with whatever they want, right?

No doubt American journalists with NPR at the lead will continue to overemphasize the isolation and unreasonableness of the North Koreans.

Now I just have one thing to say to you American intellectuals. Forget this happened. L
ine up and forget the quick trip to North Korea by Bill Clinton! It was just a personal thing you see, a matter of personal privilege by imperialist manipulators. And forget that privilege thing, that is the best way to defend privilege, assume it, make it work and never mention it. Forget the quick trip. It is really so hard to talk to the North Koreans. It is impossible to talk to them. Forget the quick trip. Repeat after me. This is your Homeland security, cia and fbi briefing if you need it to believe. Line up and march in unison while appearing to be freedom loving intellectuals! Maybe you could wear a sweater!

Now go get your pay check, probably at tax payer's expense. The Clintons love you! The empire loves you and if you ever want to pick up some political prisoners, forget it unless they are employed by Al Gore and this or that intelligence agency. Or is Ling an independent contractor?
